please. don't think i'm totally done with the current conversation down below. i was just klling some time while listening to a rather interesting and intense playlist i made.

if you have the means, i highly recommend listening to these songs in this particular order. or, if you want, i'll burn a cd and send it to you. just drop me a line with your address.(to the email on my profile...) seriously. it's on me. in fact, i made it with all of you and our conversations and experiences in mind, so you might as well hear it. it makes for quite a peculiar and powerful worship album at times.

Now THAT'S funny, because I was thinking nearly the same thing (but not nearly so, umm..."eloquently"!) as I was posting my results on my blog.

My ex-husband's first ex-wife lived and breathed by MB--she thought herself to be an "expert" on it and used whatever she was to justify her less-than-exemplary-at-times behavior. ("I can't help it--I was drawn that way"...probably misquoted, but close.)

Testing merely points you in a direction...it speaks to who you are at any particular moment, but, in my opinion, that's about it.

actually i thought that this test was a fairly good snapshot of who i am right now. the quote from tommy boy just popped in my head as a great post title and so i used it. it was not meant as a commentary on tests or anything.

but it spoke to you, and as with any sort of art, that makes me happy.

I actually love tests, but I'm a bit of a cynic about them as well. I used to be certified to administer/score several different tests (IQ/MMPI/etc.) and loved it until my bad experience with the ex's ex and her habit of matching up "spiritual partners" in our church and trying to shove them together, based on her MB "expertise". Tends to leave a bad taste in your mouth when you see how someone can twist and misuse a good thing.

I don't, however, believe that one test necessarily nails you down to a certain "type" for the rest of your life--I'm primarily the same as I was twenty years ago, but I find myself at times leaning a bit more in certain directions...and a bit less in others--probably why I have such an issue with the whole E-Harmony thing (don't EVEN get me started on that!!)
